General Washington had remembered a soldier named Baron Friedrich von Steuben that was a leader for the Prussian Army and thought he could train Commander Georges troops to become soldiers and teach them how to fight and to teach them discipline. Von Steuben trained them with harsh ways but he was not trying to kill them just to teach them how to fight. Marquis de Lafayette was one of the richest french men, took his own money and his time to do anything to make Washingtons troops new Uniforms for battle.
